OUR REVERSE 911 SYSTEM

A computer at times will call list of phone numbers located within a specified geographic area of Beech Grove, and provide a pre-recorded message to the citizens within that area.
Some topics of information that may be sent to citizens are:
  1. Providing information of a lost child.
  2. Searching an area for a fleeing felon.
  3. The evacuation of a specified area.
  4. Information to selected groups or organizations i.e., crime watch organizations.
  5. Other urgent information concerning the citizens of Beech Grove.

The Reverse 911 system is totally voluntary. Any Beech Grove resident or business that wishes not to participate in receiving the messages can do so. During the initial installation of the system, all listed Beech Grove residences and businesses were called. Persons can elect to be taken off of the system at that time when the system calls if  they so desire.
The Chief of Police, and the Fire Chief will be the only persons authorized to activate a message utilizing the reverse 911 system.

CITYWIDE AUTO ATTENDANT and VOICE MAIL SYSTEM
Main City Phone number: 788-4977

Each city employee, City Council member, Board of Works, and civic groups, are assigned an extension number for their voice mail box. Some voice mail boxes may have a direct phone number attached to it so you can call right into them. The system will then page that person to let them know that they have a message waiting.
Please call the number above and their 4 digit extension number. There is a provided directory when you call, if you do not know their number.
