Meet Councilor Anthony Davidson...

As a lifelong resident of Beech Grove, it’s an honor to represent a city that has given my family so much.  I look forward to helping the citizens of District 3 be heard.  

Over the next four years, I plan to introduce many amendments, new ordinances, and delete outdated ordinances.  I plan to inform you the citizen any way I can before they are introduced and encourage comments and questions from citizens.

              ...An Ordinance Amending Chapter 77 Traffic Schedules, Schedule IV Speed Limits (6) and (7) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beech Grove, Indiana
              This is an ordinance fixing Beech Grove Code to reflect current speed limit signs.
             ...An Ordinance Adding Section 35.21 to Chapter 35 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beech Grove, Indiana
             This is a second attempt, which has been re-worded, at the creation of a Youth advisory Board for our City.             ...An Ordinance Amending Section 35.011 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beech Grove, Indiana
             This is a second attempt, which has been re-worded, and goes along the Youth advisory board to give the Common Council some control of the Parks Board and to allow a member of the Youth Advisory Board to serve on the Parks Board as well.

            This is a second attempt, which has been re-worded, at adding an ordinance to allow golf carts to be driven within the City of Beech Grove.
  • Proposals for Building Permit Fee Structure and Revised Building Code:
Councilor Davidson held a Public Meeting on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 7:00pm in the City Hall Council Chambers to present and hear public comments on proposed amendments to Chapter 150: Building Codes of the City Code of Ordinances and a revised fee structure for permits and licenses.

  • General Ordinance No. 25, 2012 - Approved on September 4, 2012.
    ...an ordinance that amends Chapter 50, Sections 50.071 and 50.083 of the "Code of Ordinances" of the City of Beech Grove, Indiana concerning the installation of lateral sewer lines, cleanouts, repairs or replacement of such lines, and inspections conducted by the City of Beech Grove and its authorized agent.

               This is an ordinance that changes the Board of Parks and Recreation from all Mayoral appointments and a School Board member to 2 Mayor, 2               Council, a School Board Member,  and Ex- Officio Youth Advisory Member.

  • An ordinance deleting section 90.05 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - LIVE POULTRY TO BE SOLD IN CERTAIN QUANTITIES
               This is a law in which chickens or ducklings younger than eight weeks of age may not be sold in quantities of less than 15 to a single purchaser.
                General Ordinance No. 7, 2012 - Approved 03/19/2012  
  • An ordinance amending section 90.07 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - AWARDING LIVE ANIMALS AS PRIZES.
               This change will make it legal to give goldfish away during festivals as prizes.

  • An ordinance amending section 99.15 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Use of Waterways
               This will amend a section of code from no fishing in the park except by persons under the age of 16 years and change to all persons.
                General Ordinance No. 10, 2012 - Failed for Lack of a Second on First Reading on 04/02/2012
  • An ordinance amending section 99.16 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Bicycles, Skateboards
              This change will allow skateboards in the city parks to be legal.
  • An ordinance amending section 96.02 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Collection of Garbage
              This change will require the Department of Public Works to track trash totes, establishes one tote per household, and charge $75 for each additional or lost tote.               
               General Ordinance No. 23, 2012 - Approved 08/06/2012     
  • An ordinance amending section 31.20 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Councilmanic Districts 
              This will amend the precinct names that were changed by the Indianapolis City-County Council. This will not change the City Council District lines.
