Meet Councilor Anthony Davidson...

As a lifelong resident of Beech Grove, it’s an honor to represent a city that has given my family so much.  I look forward to helping the citizens of District 3 be heard.  

Over the next four years, I plan to introduce many amendments, new ordinances, and delete outdated ordinances.  I plan to inform you the citizen any way I can before they are introduced and encourage comments and questions from citizens.

Proposed Ordinance Changes Submitted by Councilor Anthony Davidson

  • An ordinance deleting section 90.05 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - LIVE POULTRY TO BE SOLD IN CERTAIN QUANTITIES
               This is a law in which chickens or ducklings younger than eight weeks of age may not be sold in quantities of less than 15 to a single purchaser.

  • An ordinance amending section 90.07 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - AWARDING LIVE ANIMALS AS PRIZES.
                    This change will make it legal to give goldfish away during festivals as prizes.

  • An ordinance amending section 99.15 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Use of Waterways

        This will amend a section of code from no fishing in the park except by persons under the age of 16 years and change to all persons.

  • ·  An ordinance amending section 99.16 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Bicycles, Skateboards

        This change will allow skateboards in the city parks to be legal.

  • ·  An ordinance amending section 96.02 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Collection of Garbage

        This change will require the Department of Public Works to track trash totes, establishes one tote per household, and charge $75 for each additional or lost tote.

  • An ordinance amending section 31.20 of the Beech Grove Code of Ordinances - Council-manic Districts
        This will amend the precinct names that were changed by the Indianapolis City-County Council. This will not change the City Council District lines.
