Regular meetings of the City Council are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month, in the Council Chambers of City Hall*. Meeting days which fall on a holiday are held the day following the holiday at 7:00 p.m., or as determined by the Common Council at a prior regular meeting.
* Due to the road reconstruction on Main Street, City Council meetings will be held at the Hornet Park Community Center until further notice. A special meeting of Council may be called by the Mayor with at least three days notice and for a specified purpose. The Mayor, or in his or her absence the President Pro-Tempore, is the presiding officer of the Council. The Mayor, as presiding officer, prepares the agenda for each Council meeting. Meetings are videotaped and can be viewed on the BGTV 28 Cable Channel (U-Verse Channel 99). Meeting minutes from prior years are on file in the Clerk Treasurer's office or visit the Archived Documents webpage. |
